Information
about the tour:

We organized a tour of Namibia in our favorite format – in campers. But not like in Iceland, rather based on full-fledged SUVs! Each vehicle will have 2 tents on the roof and all the necessary camping gear. The all-wheel drive will allow us to see the maximum number of locations and spend the night under the stars in the most beautiful national parks of the country. But we haven't forgotten about comfort, so there will be 5 nights in cozy hotels. During our journey, we will drive through the highest dunes in the world, arrange a photo safari with giraffes, lions, rhinos, and more, see some of the oldest tribes on the planet, and have an incredible photo session at the dead marsh. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to kayak among hundreds of sea lions and pelicans, after which we will taste local wine with very delicious oysters. Throughout our trip, we will have to cover many kilometers, but they will be worth it!

CONSULTATION
Day 1

We arrive in the capital of Namibia – Windhoek. Here we are met by a driver who takes us to the hotel. Hosea Kutako Airport (WDH) is located 40 km from the city.

Depending on the arrival time, we will either have time for a walk around the city or have dinner and go straight to rest after the long flight.

Day 2

In the first half of the day, we will prepare the cars, check the camping equipment, and go shopping for groceries at the market. After that, we will head towards one of the most famous national parks in Namibia – Etosha.

On the way, we will make a stop for the night at our first campsite. Here we have our first safari planned. We will be able to see rhinos, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, and more!!!

Closer to the evening, we will gather for dinner at a restaurant where we can get to know each other better.

Today we will travel about 250 km.

Day 3

We have breakfast and head to Etosha National Park. It is one of the largest national parks in Namibia. It is located on the northwestern edge of the Kalahari Desert, in the area occupied by the Etosha salt pan and the adjacent savannas.

To increase our chances of seeing more animals, we have allocated 1.5 days for visiting the park. Today we will drive through its northern part and visit 4 waterholes where animals gather.

After exiting through another gate, we will immediately find ourselves at our cozy lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits us with a stunning sunset outside the window. We will settle into our cottages and relax, as we will dedicate the entire next day to safari.

Today we will drive about 360 km

Day 4

Today we will have a very busy day. It is possible that this day will become unforgettable for many!

We are packing our things and, with the first rays of the sun, we are approaching the gates of the national park, where our safari will begin. We will travel about 250 km, visiting various water bodies, in order to see and film: elephants, antelopes, zebras, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, and many others.

For lunch, we will stop at a local lodge, and closer to the evening, we will stop at our next campsite. We will set up tables and chairs, have a barbecue at sunset, and over a glass of local wine, we will share our impressions of today.

Today we will travel about 250 km.

Day 5

Moving to an incredibly beautiful region – Damaraland.

Here we will see ancient rock paintings that are 5000 years old! We will also visit a living museum where the Damara tribes live, who, alongside the Bushmen, are the oldest inhabitants of Namibia.

On the way, we will stop at a market and a gas station, and in the evening we will check into a lodge nearby.

Today we will travel about 350 km.

Day 6

We are getting ready and heading to one of the most photogenic locations of our tour – Spitzkoppe mountain. On the way, we will see representatives of the Himba and Herero tribes trading various souvenirs.

We set up our camp in the national park area, after which we take our cameras and head out to photograph the local beauty. The main highlights of this place are Spitzkoppe mountain, which is called the local Matterhorn, and a stone arch that reminded us of the arch in Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. In the evening, with a glass of local wine, we will observe the fantastic starry sky. After that, we will be able to take a bunch of wonderful photos against the backdrop of the arch and the stars.

Today we will travel about 200 km

Day 7

Today we have planned a return to civilization, or rather, to the main port city of Namibia – Swakopmund.

We have breakfast, pack our things, and set off on the road. Today we will have to travel only 180 km, so we will have plenty of time to stroll around the city, buy souvenirs, taste local oysters, and if desired, swim in the Atlantic Ocean.

We are checking into a comfortable hotel for two nights.

Day 8

We wake up early, have breakfast, and head to the town of Walvis Bay. Here we switch to kayaks and set off towards Pelican Point to take selfies with the seals that will jump right onto your kayaks! Also, we will see flocks of pelicans and dolphins.

We return to the port, switch to local jeeps, and together with the driver-guides, we head to Sandwich Harbour. This place is unique because here the ocean meets the sandy dunes. We will ride along the coast, "fly" over the dunes, have a snack with an ocean view, and return to the city.

If there is time left, we will take a walk around the city.

Today we will travel about 80 km.

Day 9

In the first half of the day, we will have time for a walk in Swakopmund. We can visit the market, buy souvenirs, and stroll through the cozy streets.

We say goodbye to the ocean and head inland. Today we will have to travel 350 km to one of the most beautiful valleys in Namibia – Sossusvlei.

On the way, we will stop to snack on the local famous strudels.

Closer to evening, we arrive at our campsite, prepare a barbecue, and enjoy the starry sky by the pool, against the backdrop of the highest dunes in the world.

Day 10

Today we will probably have the most photogenic day of the entire trip! We are leaving at dawn to catch the most beautiful light. From our campsite to the parking lot near the dunes, we will have to drive through the national park for about an hour. During this time, we will be accompanied by Martian landscapes outside the window. And the morning sun will maximize the saturation of colors!

Upon arriving at the location, we will be able to climb the highest dune in the world – Big Daddy and the famous dune No. 45, and then, of course, we will have a photo session at the Dead Vlei. This place got its name due to the ancient dried trees and the depression formed as a result of drought.

In the evening, we return to the campsite. We have dinner and organize a farewell evening, as tomorrow we are already returning to Windhoek.

Today we will drive about 150 km.

Day 11

We have breakfast and head to the capital. On the way, we will see firsthand how the desert turns into savanna, and we will take some photos from the viewpoint at the mountain pass.

Upon arriving in the city, we check into a comfortable hotel, return the cars, and will relax by the pool after a busy program.

In the evening, we gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Today we will drive about 450 km.

Day 12

We have breakfast at the hotel, say goodbye, and head to the airport. This is where our African adventure ends.

We are flying home.
