Waterfalls and geysers, volcanoes and glaciers, black beaches and icebergs – all “must see” in one trip to Iceland! Having traveled ten times around the island, and selected the most beautiful and unforgettable places, we have created the perfect Iceland tour for you! We chose the most convenient means of transportation to explore this place – motor homes, trailers, or, as they are also called, campers. Just imagine: you will be able to drive a camper (and if you want you can even be a camper and get a 100€ discount on the tour) on the youngest island on the planet, and in the evening catch the rays of the day in the reflection of hundreds of icebergs, at the end of the day you sit around a fire, roasting salmon steak in our camp of trailers surrounded by waterfalls, mountains and starry sky, and think that yesterday you were sitting in a stuffy office in the arms of a computer. Already submitted? Then, come with us on a trip to Iceland and we will show you this amazing country in all its glory! Special conditions for drivers, 100€ discount for the tour!

Day 1

Arrival at Keflafik airport.
We settle in trailers, buy food in the market and go to our first campsite. And not just anywhere, but right at the junction of the European and North American tectonic plates!

Day 2

Our day begins with a tour of the tectonic fault and the Öxarárfoss waterfall, after which we go to take a selfie with one of the highest geysers in the world – Geysir and one of the largest waterfalls in Europe – Gullfoss falls.

After completing the “Golden Ring”, we will head to one of the most unusual waterfalls – Seljalandsfoss. Its highlight is that you can walk directly between the rushing streams of water and the rock from which it comes down!

After such a busy day, we need to have a good rest, so we chose a campsite right at the foot of the Skogafoss waterfall as our next stop! Here we will make our first salmon barbecue and fall asleep to the sound of one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will go for a photo shoot with a waterfall. We will have the opportunity to climb to the top and photograph it and the mouth of the river that flows through the lava fields into the Atlantic Ocean.

Next – we move to the black beach near the town of Vik, in order to see Dyrhólaey and Reynisfjara Beach. If we are lucky with the weather, we will see huge waves that break on the rocks right at our feet! Having captured the beach from the side on camera, we will drive closer in order to climb the famous basalt pillars and walk along the beach.

We continue our journey through the lava fields towards the Ice Lagoon. On the way we will see moss fields and cross the river formed due to the melting of the largest glacier in Europe – Vatnajokull. As we approach the lagoon, we see dozens of icebergs in the rays of the receding sun, and below, between the ice floes, sea lions are playing. This will most likely become your favorite place in Iceland!

We will spend the night in the town of Höfn. If we are lucky, we will see a flock of deer, which often grazes right next to the campsite.

Day 4

In the morning we will buy groceries in the market and go.

Today we will take a serpentine ride up the Icelandic highlands and descend into one of the warmest parts of the island, where we will see the Hengifoss waterfall. On the way we will enjoy the view of the Vestrahom cliffs.

After the picnic, we will go to a small track to the waterfalls and take some very cool photos.

We’ll stop at the campsite early to rest and organize a barbecue party. In our opinion, this is the best campsite we have ever been to.

Day 5

After a barbecue party, you need to sleep well, so we leave a little later than usual and go to look at the most powerful waterfall in Europe – Dettifoss.

The multicolored earth beneath your feet, the steam that rises from crevices in the ground like a steam locomotive chimney, and the persistent smell of sulfur-all these are the fumarole fields of Hverir. Fumaroles are cracks or openings that form on the slopes of volcanoes, from which jets of hot gas and sulfur spurt to the surface, causing the ground in those areas to be colored yellow, blue, green, and orange. It seems that you have landed on another planet.

The rest of the day we will spend at the thermal spa – Myvatn. Myvatn bathrooms are natural steam rooms and outdoor pools. The entire thermal complex was built on a fault in the earth’s crust with geothermal water extracted from a depth of 2500 meters. The resort is located on Lake Myvatn, 100 km from the Arctic Circle!

Day 6

Opening our eyes in the morning, we will see a high trapezoidal mountain – this is the crater of the Hverfjall volcano. We have breakfast and climb it, enjoying the gorgeous views.

Then we move to the second most important city in Iceland – Akureyri. Here we replenish our provisions and go to see the ancient Icelandic village museum. Something like the Kyiv Pirogovo. Perhaps on the local farm we will see the local breed of horses and be able to take pictures with them. This is a special breed that is bred only in Iceland.

Transfer to campsite and overnight. In the evening, as usual, we will have a delicious dinner in good company.

Day 7

Early departure and transfer to the capital of Iceland – Reykjavik.

An underwater tunnel awaits us along the way. We will descend to -100m below the ocean level!

The rest of the day we walk around the city, and in the evening we come to the car wash to clean up the cars before handing them over. Then, we drive to our last campsite in Iceland not far from the airport.

Day 8

Flight home.
